On Saturday, we were blessed to have a visit from friends that Sam had met in Poland. Instead of gifts this year, our dear friends decided to give their boys the best gift of all.... a visit from two of their dear friends from Poland. They have grown to love these 2 as if they are their own boys. The sons look to them as if they are their brothers. It is an amazing friendship; one that was formed because they are brothers in Christ. I can't imagine a more precious Christmas! They flew back to Poland on Sunday.
Sam adores them as well. He spent 3 weeks with them when he traveled to Poland. It meant so much to Sam for us to meet them and to them to meet us. What a wonderful time we had! It was neat to hear their stories and to watch how the Lord has worked in their life. For one of the young men, God has called him out of professional soccer to serve as a missionary in India. He travels there in just a few days. To be so young and still be so convicted and willing to give up all that you have to serve Jesus Christ is a rare thing. Please pray for him as he seeks to serve God!
Winter has hit us once again. The snow has fallen nearly all day. It changed the plans of Emily who had hoped to visit her friends in Cedarville. Instead, she has hung around with us. Erin began physical therapy on her knee. She is in much more discomfort now; but that is probably due to the 3 weeks of keeping it completely straight. She has a lot of work ahead of her. They wanted her to life her leg up on her own and she could only life it an inch off the table. She is only allowed to bend her knee 30% though I have a feeling that if she tried to bend more, it probably wouldn't bend. We have exercises that I have to help her with morning and evening.... probably 45 mintutes each time. It's going to be a long recovery!
